In 2019, Abby was named President of Emergency Disaster Services. She has led the EDS team to storied success and great achievement as the Nation’s leader in Emergency Logistical Response. Abby has developed trusted relationships with EDS’ clients, focusing on continued growth and solution driven opportunities. Abby is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, an active community volunteer in both Lexington and Louisville, KY.

Joining the EDS team in 2010, Carter is integral part of the EDS site development and logistics team. His experience with design, coupled with first-hand field experience, allows him to pivot into a multifunctional role overseeing the project management side of each storm or event when EDS is contracted to provide services. Carter brings an efficient understanding and motivational attitude to every project Whether executing a large comprehensive project or providing preparedness programs for our client partners, Carter has expertise and over 15 years of front-line service in contingency planning. Carter seamlessly works with our management teams in developing efficient processes to help reach our potential so EDS can provide unmatched and successful results.

Bill brings over 30 years of logistical culinary response expertise. His team of coworkers refers to him as “Wild Bill”; as his ability to procure, deliver, and respond to any challenge tossed his way brings out his “Wild Side”! Bill is one of the most respected logistical responders nationwide. His talents that began in the kitchen continue, as he is the mastermind to EDS’ culinary program. He leads a team of over 200 culinary individuals that respond to EDS’ field teams. Although a native of Baltimore, MD, he resides in the Bluegrass with his three beautiful daughters.

Matt Daley

Matt Daley joined EDS in January of 2020 as the Director of Communications and Logistics. Matt has over 12 years’ experience in state government for the Commonwealth of Kentucky working both in the executive and legislative branches. Matt focuses on state, federal and private logistics projects for EDS and is responsible for developing and enhancing EDS’ state and federal contingency planning process during times of disaster.

Deryl Hargett

Deryl joined EDS in February of 2020 as the Director of Procurement & Logistics and brings an electrical utility perspective to the EDS team. Prior to joining EDS and the sale of Gulf Power to NextEra Energy, Deryl had worked for Gulf Power (Southern Company) for 28 years. For the last 15 years, he has held two roles; Major Accounts Manager during “Blue Sky” conditions, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of Gulf Powers largest industrial customers and the Logistics Manager during storm restorations. In this role, he was responsible for directing the flow of all logistical support for restoration efforts; most notably when Hurricane Michael struck the Eastern portion of Gulf Powers Service Territory in Panama City, FL in 2018. He is a member of the Southeastern Electric Exchange and was the 2019 Mutual Assistance Sub-Committee Chairman for Logistics.
